Ramayana and Mahabharata examination

The department of Sanskrit has been organizing Ramayana and Mahabharatha examinations for high school, PUC and degree students since 2013. In the era of moral and ethical decay, the department has been striving to regenerate consciousness through the ethical fables of The Ramayana and The Mahabharatha, the two epics of India. Morality and ethics, through these fables of the epics made to be strongly influenced where in values are inculcated into their life to make the life to be divinely pure. The epic stories, the metaphoric representation of Indian aesthetic culture and tradition which before the influence of western culture on India, infatuated the whole world, are introducing the unique tradition and culture of India to the students. It helps the students to understand the essence of Indian life. Concepts like dharma and adharma, good and evil, right and wrong, vice and worse, envy and generosity, pride and prejudice, beauty and ugly, love and lust are through the fables made to be clearly understood. The department has observed a positive response to take up the examination.
