The Department of Post Graduate Studies in Chemistry at Alva’s College is a vibrant and dynamic hub for advanced education in the chemical sciences. We offer three specialized M.Sc. Courses: Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry, each designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills. Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission for M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry / Organic Chemistry shall have studied any branch of Physical or Biological science with CHEMISTRY as one of the optional / major / special subjects in the undergraduate level.

Not less than 45% (40% in case of SC/ST students) marks in the aggregate excluding languages in the undergraduate level.

The students should have studied Physics and Mathematics as optional / major / special / minor / subsidiary subjects either at B.Sc. or at P.U.C. / Higher Secondary level.

B.Sc. Polymer Chemistry graduates are also eligible for admission to this programme provided they have studied Physics and Mathematics as major/subsidiary subjects at B.Sc./P.U.C./Higher Secondary level.
