At the department of Animation and Visual Effects, we offer a comprehensive BSc in Animation that prepares students for a career in the exciting and constantly evolving field of animation. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in the art and science of animation, as well as the technical skills necessary to bring their ideas to life.
The BSc in Animation program is designed to cover a broad range of topics, including traditional animation techniques, digital animation, 3D modeling and animation, and visual effects. Course offered: B.Sc. in Animation and Visual Effects (Honors)
Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters)
Eligibility: PUC/+2 in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts) or any equivalent course recognized by Mangalore University is eligible for admission.

Course Structure:
Semester I & II
Student will be introduced to aspects of drawing such as anatomy, gestures, perspective and layout. Student will also learn about classical and digital art, story boarding and storytelling, animation production process and various techniques of animation.
Semester III & IV
Student will consolidate his/her understanding and move further towards specialized forms of animation. Student will also continue his/her learning through movie analysis and appreciation, 3D animation, pre and post-production and lighting and camera techniques.
Semester V
In the final stage, student will learn game art and specialized forms of 3D art, alongside studio design and project management.
Semester VI
Student assigned with a live/demo project and also assisted to creates his/her showreel/portfolio at par with industry standards
