HR Education Creates Human Engineers, Says Dr.Ajith D’Souza.

Moodubidire: An intercollegiate level HR (Human Resource) seminar and research paper presentation programme was organised by Alva’s department of Management Studies and HRD, on Friday, at Kuvempu hall. The core topic of the session was “Training and Development”.
The chief guest and the resource person Dr Ajith D’Souza, Director, Asha Jyothi Charitable Academy, Mangalore, said, “HRD education is one of the most prominent area where people get to learn “managing people” which is more difficult than “managing machines”. Further, to achieve this proper training and preparation is necessary, he said. He quoted former Prime Minister Nehru’s words “Training is expensive and without training is more expensive”. Therefore, he referred the HRD scholars are Human Engineers.
The Managing Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation Vivek Alva, said, “India’s biggest strength is human resource, which could take country forward in a big way. Hence, we need to focus more on effective utilization human resource through proper training and quality improvement time to time. Innovative techniques could be handy in the process to take manpower to next level, he added.
Students from different states, colleges, and scholars from Bhuthan had presented their research papers on the occasion. The best presenters were felicitated with rewards.
Alva’s department of Management Studies and HRD Dean Surekha Rao, Faculties Ashwini K, Ashitha Spurthi, Chandan, Vinitha Pinto were present among others.
