INTRODUCTION

KARNATAKA CLASSICAL MUSIC is the most ancient form of music and the traditional form of classical music of South India .

It was Sangeetha Pithaamaha Sri Purandara Dasa who framed the methodology which has been the greatest contribution to the world with respect to music followed by the Trinities Sri Tyagaraja , Sri Muthuswamy Dikshithar And Sri Shyama Shastri .
