The Department recognizes the significance of extracurricular activities in fostering holistic development, creativity, critical thinking and a passion for literature, and so conducts QUESTS – weekly literary activities like spill poetry, open mic, guest talks, debate, writing for blogs, story building, appreciation and review of films, lectures, music, and other visual arts.

These activities provide students with a platform to explore various aspects of literature beyond the confines of their regular curriculum. Through discussions, debates, book clubs, and interactive sessions, QUEST encourages students to think critically, analyse different perspectives, and broaden their intellectual horizons.

This endeavour provides a varied platform for students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical settings, develop essential skills, and gain a deeper understanding of their subjects.

To give the students a practical idea on teaching, the department conducts regular extension activities and student faculty programs, where they actively engage in teaching at neighbouring educational institutions.
