The Department of Post Graduate Studies in Chemistry at Alva’s College is a vibrant and dynamic hub for advanced education in the chemical sciences. We offer three specialized M.Sc.courses: Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry, each designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills. The experienced faculty in the department are passionate educators and mentors, guiding students through their academic journey and professional development. Two years (4 Semesters)

Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission for M.Sc. in Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry / Organic Chemistry shall have studiedany branch of Physical or Biological science with CHEMISTRY as one of the optional / major / special subjects in the undergraduate level.
Not less than 45% (40% in case of SC/ST students) marks in the aggregate excludinglanguages in the undergraduate level.
The students should have studied Physics and Mathematics as optional / major / special / minor / subsidiary subjects either at B.Sc. or at P.U.C. / Higher Secondary level.
B.Sc. Polymer Chemistry graduates are also eligible for admission to this programmeprovided they have studied Physics and Mathematics as major/subsidiary subjects atB.Sc./P.U.C./Higher Secondary level.
