In addition to the political history of nations, it records great deeds, achievements, contributions, adventures, thoughts and sacrifices of extra- ordinary men and women. There are indeed sources of inspiration and motivation even today. Realizing this, the founder of the college has introduced history as one of the subject of study. Since the university permits this subject only to the Arts students, it has been introduced as one of the optional to the B.A. students in the year 2002.<\/p>\n
The department of history has a department library which has a very good collection of books which includes text books, reference books, CD\u2019s relater to world, Indian and local history. Apart from curricular activities, dept. of history has organized various co- curricular and extra-curricular activities for over all development of the students. Department also organizing Study tours, Local Field Visits and Guest Lectures for students which helps them to understand the subject better. The faculty member have actively participated in various academic activities such as Seminars, Conferences and Workshops organized by the Academic bodies of the University, State and Nation, the knowledge and the experiences so gained is used by them to impart knowledge in a better manner to the students. Therefore the students are guided and encouraged to involve themselves in writing assignment, presenting seminars, participating in inter-class academic exchange programmes and such other activities, besides the regular class room activities.<\/p>\n
