DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

1)INTRODUCTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department was established in 2002 together with History and Sociology with one faculty. At present the department is having six faculties. The following are the main objectives of the department:<\/p>\n

• To inspire students for excellence in their interested fields<\/li>\n
• To Prepare the students who are capable of choosing their field-after analyzing various fields.<\/li>\n
• To Train the students for competitive examinations.<\/li>\n
• To Encourage the scientific temper to mould students for society.<\/li>\n
• To Develop Political consciousness and writing political analysis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Department is continuously supporting college in all its activities and AEF. Apart from these, the Department conducts Guest lectures and other activities to motivate the students to develop their personality. The Department is actively supporting Programmes organized by Humanities Department as a whole. Political Science education provides knowledge and skills needed to prepare for a professional career as a teacher, administrator, political scientists, lawyers etc. Political Science provides ground knowledge about the basics of political education and training. It trains about the politics and government at local, state, national and global levels.<\/p>\n

  • To conduct classes and seminar, projector is being used.<\/li>\n
  • Certificate course in Public Administration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

             4) ACHIEVEMENT : <\/strong><\/p>\n

             Department of Political Science getting more than 90% result every academic year.<\/p>\n

             Ms. Aparna of BA secured second rank in the academic year 2017-18.<\/p>\n

             5) RESEARCH : <\/strong><\/p>\n

             Students are motivated to conduct research. Students have presented research papers based on Social Science topics.<\/p>\n

             6) EXTENSION:<\/strong><\/p>\n

             Students of Political Science have participated in the construction of check dam in Thenkamijar and Marodi village during the academic year 2017-18 conducted by the Department of Humanities<\/p>\n
